Ayahuasca: Some Thoughts on Integration and How We Continue to Fool Ourselves

--

I am no expert of ayahuasca, I will leave that to the shamans who dedicate their life to this work.

I have had an incredible healing of an autoimmune disease, with the help of ayahuasca and other Amazonian plants. I lived in the Amazon jungle in Peru off and on for over two years, living with and learning from indigenous peoples and other maestros (masters).

I wrote about it here:

I now work as an integration psychotherapist, helping and supporting people who have taken psychedelics.

This is what I have learned so far.

Take it or leave it, you may not like what you read!

When I moved back to the U.S. after spending almost three years in Peru, I was shocked by the ayahuasca scene here.

It seemed that anyone and everyone was calling themself a shaman or shamanic practitioner. This concept had taken off like a viral trend.
